The Weird Things We Runners Do With Numbers

I sat down today and played with my race results. In '03, I ran a 3:57:36 marathon. In '05, I ran a 3:32:22 marathon. I figured out that (the difference between those numbers is 25:12. Divide that in half to get 12:36 and add it to 3:32:22 to get) the average time of those two results, which is 3:44:48. Pretty close to my actual net time of 3:44:43, for this year's marathon, eh?

I really need to get out more.
